Your Trusted Industry Partner

As states continue to expand and tighten Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements, the Office of Inspector General (OIG) is stepping up audits to ensure EVV systems meet all federal and state requirements. To help states proactively prepare for increasing federal scrutiny, HHAeXchange is launching EVV HealthCheck—a comprehensive annual review designed to ensure EVV systems meet CMS and OIG standards. We’ll assess whether your EVV program:

  • Accurately verifies home visits for personal care services (PCS) and home health care services (HHCS)
  • Complies with the 21st Century Cures Act
  • Helps prevent improper Medicaid payments
  • Supports strong oversight, including provider audit frequency, use of alerts or flags, and corrective actions taken
  • Maintains a robust error resolution process for providers
What is an “EVV aggregator,” and how does it differ from other EVV systems?

How does HHAeXchange ensure compliance with federal and state regulations?

HHAeXchange supports 21st Century Cures Act compliance, adheres to HITRUST CSF standards, and works with states to align its solutions with state-specific Medicaid rules. We are certified by CMS in certain states as an EVV Aggregator,

What types of homecare services does HHAeXchange support?

The platform supports a spectrum including Personal Care Services (PCS), Home Health Care Services (HHCS), and self-directed services (direct care workers).

What is the process for implementing HHAeXchange in our state? What kind of timeline and resources are required?

Implementation involves stakeholder engagement, discovery process, training, data integration, setup of reporting and oversight. Timelines vary based on state complexity.
